Happy 21st Birthday Shuying!

Group pic.

Met up with my poly friends after such a long time. Hahaha. After reaching, the first thing we did is to eat! Then after that, sat down and watch movies on TV. Then after that, sing birthday song, and then we went up to the room to chat.
Tired to type so much, so this is the summary of the night. Now it's 2.00am, my aunties and uncles still at my house playing mahjong, so I'm staying up waiting for them to finish their game, so I can close the door and let my dogs out. Then, I'm gonna grab some sleep before waking up early in the morning at 7.30am for breakfast, then off to teach piano. So now, feeling a bit 'cui', cos' haven't stayed up so late for quite some time already. I feel that I'm aging rapidly already.

And notice I've gotten darker! YAY. Been swimming in the late morning/early afternoon these few days. Although still can't see the difference in size, but I'm feeling a difference already. Keep it up, and I think it's sooner or later, before I can start slimming down. =D Patience is a great virtue. =)
Argh, when are they finishing their mahjong??? I'm sleepy~! Hop I won't feel cranky tomorrow. Or my students will die~!!!! WAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA

Ok. I think I'm a bit of a spendthrift.

I saw this earphone in Raffles City while shopping for new year clothes and it has since bugged me for a long time. And guess what? The earphone is....Bose® mobile in-ear headset! At first I didn't see the 'mobile' headset at their booth, but when I search online, they have this new product which is compatible with iphone, where it comes with a microphone so you can answer calls when you are listening to music.

Taken from their website:

The Bose® mobile in-ear headset delivers high-quality Bose® sound - the best reason yet to listen to music on your phone.

The Bose® mobile in-ear headset lets you fully enjoy music on your phone by providing Bose® quality sound and comfortable fit while allowing you to take calls with ease.

Enjoy music on your phone with Bose® sound - Propriety Bose® technologies provide a level of listening pleasure with performance that's faithful and realistic, offering lifelike clarity and acoustic range.

Take calls with ease - Convenient inline microphone and answer/end button allow you to switch easily from music to call and back.

Comfortable fit - The shape and soft silicon material of the three sizes of provided ear tips allow the headset to sit gently and naturally in the outer bowl of the ear (not your ear canal) and feel comfortable even after extended listening.

Compatible with many music - enabled mobile phones - including Apple® iPhone ™ and BlackBerry® phones. For a complete list, go to www.Bose.com/phones.

Cool Huh! But the coolest thing of all...is of course the PRICE. ~$_$~ Man the normal in-ear headset cost S$179. I wonder how much it'll cost for the mobile one. I'm guessing it's also around this price. Maybe a little more expensive...
Think I'll get it after Chinese New Year. Get some Ang Bow money out to buy this. =D Hehehehehe

Wahh~ Caught a big rat just now~! My house is filled rats man!!!

Hahahahaha. Just now kenna frightened when my mum suddenly pull out the mouse trap with the rat in it. When my maid and I started screaming when we saw the rat inside, my mum also 'cua tio' and quickly sorta throw the trap back into the wall. Hahahaha. My dad have to come upstairs to take it out for us.

This reminds me of a few weeks ago, when I saw a rat scurry pass the scaffolds, where I accidentally caught a glimpse of it. Then my mum said that on that very same day, they found a rat drowned itself in the fish pond. HAHAHAHAHAHA. After I said all these...who would dare to come my house??? XP

Ah. Bored. Broke. Emo. Hahahaha.

I was asking Mum about what to eat for dinner, but in the end she threw me back the same question saying, "What do you want to eat?" So, I was thinking and thinking, then she suggested going for Nonya cuisine, but I don't really like Nonya cuisine, so she said Thai. Then, it suddenly came to my mind that we should try something different.

So I suggested going to the Brazilian Restaurant at Six Avenue. At first, mum and bro were doubting about whether the food would suit our taste preference. But well, since Dad is not around, we should try something new and see whether if it's nice. And if it's nice, we can bring Dad over and try the food. So in the end, both of them agreed, and so, we walked to Six Avenue for our dinner.

When we stepped into the restaurant, the waiter told us that it's a buffet type of dinner, and when we looked at the price, it's $42 per person! OMG right? Expensive buffet I've ever eaten. But well, since we were seated inside already, we decided to go along with it.

And usually you'll think that buffet is those with counters where you choose what you want to eat over a wide variety of food. BUT over at this restaurant, it's totally different. Here, they have buffet counters, but they are just appetizers - salad. And don't expect any delicious Brazilian main course. Because what they serve up are 14 TYPES OF MEAT (I think they meant by 14 types of different cooking method) which includes beef, chicken, lamb, pork and fish.

I'm lazy to describe on how they serve the meat, so let the pictures talk...

They'll bring out the meat like this... in skewers...

Then they'll slice it off onto your plate if you want that meat.
And you might be thinking, "Such an expensive buffet, who would want to go eat." or "You call this buffet?? Who would go there?" Well for those who think that this restaurant won't have customers to patronize, then you are wrong. The restaurant is so crowded! Everytime we drove or walk pass the restaurant, I'll see many people inside. So I think this kind of buffet is also quite appealing to Singaporeans.
Well, if you are a meat lover and beef lover especially, you can try out this restaurant. The only concern is the pricing though. But like I said, it's buffet, so you can keep on eating so long as your stomach can fit in. My recommendation would be their 'garlic beef' and fish. I don't know what's it called but there's only 1 type of fish they serve though. They have many other types of meat like those I mentioned above, but they mostly serve beef. And you have to try their grilled pineapple. It's good.

This is the cocktail I ordered which cost $11.80. Forgot what it's called. The name of the drink is too complicated for me to remember, but it consist of vodka, lime and another thing which I didn't really care about.

My whole plateful of meat~!!!!

If you like to know more about the restaurant, you can visit their website: http://www.brazilchurrasco.com/index.html

Well, another concern other than the pricing, would be the parking lots. LOL! Six Avenue is famous for their limited number of parking lots.

Sherlock Holmes. A MUST WATCH MOVIE!

I've been wanting to watch this movie like ever since I know Robert Downey Jr. is going to act in it, and after I watched the trailer, I'm even more excited about it. And FINALLY I got to watch it! Wee~~~ Thanks Yue Er for watching it with me. Keep asking my brother to go watch with me he seemed so reluctant. -.-''' Haix. Super Duper nice! In my opinion, I think this movie is better than Avatar. Well, yep Avatar is nice too, but I think Sherlock Holmes wins between these 2 movies:

1. The storyline is fast-paced, not draggy for a detective type of movie (a little quicker than Avatar),
2. The chemistry between Holmes and Watson (Downey Jr. and Jude Law),
3. The intensity of the movie and the way they lighten up the movie with 'jokey' conversations,
4. The way Sherlock Holmes solve his case. He's so damn clever and very observant. He can even capture small little details very quickly.
5. and of course, it's because of Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. I like both of them, which makes the movie even more interesting. >.<

Well, Avatar have Sam Worthington, who is also very cool, but I see him in the blue Avatar most of the time, so...yep. What a waste. XD I'm guessing there'll be a sequel, or a trilogy. So I guess I shall wait till all the Sherlock Holmes movies are out before I buy the DVD or Blu-Ray DVD. Hehehe.

Can't wait for Downey Jr.'s Iron Man 2 which opens in May (I guess). RAWR!
